Shiv Name Hand Tattoo in Ahmedabad: A Bold Gothic Lettering Design

A name tattoo turns a meaningful word into a personal piece of art. This Shiv name hand tattoo by Adventure Tattoo & Piercing, Ahmedabad, brings that idea to life with bold black ink and distinctive Gothic lettering.

For anyone exploring name tattoo designs, hand tattoo inspiration, or custom lettering tattoos, this piece shows how typography can become the centre of a design.

What Makes This Shiv Tattoo Stand Out?

The tattoo features “Shiv” across the back of the hand, with sharp letterforms, flowing strokes, and decorative extensions. The contrast between thick black sections and fine lines gives the lettering depth and character.

Rather than relying on additional symbols, the design lets the name itself create the visual impact. Its Gothic style adds a dramatic feel while keeping the composition focused.

Gothic Lettering for a Custom Name Tattoo

Gothic lettering is a strong creative direction for a name tattoo when you want angular shapes, ornamental details, and a bold appearance.

When planning a custom lettering tattoo, consider:

• Readability: How clearly should the name read at a glance?

• Letter shape: Do you prefer sharp edges, flowing curves, or a combination?

• Detail: How much ornamentation suits your idea?

• Proportion: How will the lettering fit the chosen placement?

This Shiv tattoo combines several of these elements, creating a design with a recognisable name and an expressive silhouette.

A Design That Follows the Hand

Placement shapes the final composition. In this piece, the lettering spans the back of the hand, while extended strokes draw the eye along the design.

If you are considering a similar tattoo, discussing the size, orientation, and lettering with your artist can help turn your reference into a design suited to you.

Make Your Name Tattoo Personal

A reference image can be a useful starting point. Your own tattoo might feature a different name, a simpler typeface, or lettering with a different balance of bold strokes and fine details.

Before your design consultation, think about the word you want, what it means to you, and which features of your reference you like most. These details give the artist a clearer starting point.
